My Travel Stories

Sky dive

So there I was, jumping out of a plane over the Palm Islands in Dubai—once. And naturally, like any rational human being, I thought, ‘You know what would make this even better? Doing it again… on the same day.’ Because why just experience sheer adrenaline and the stunning aerial view once, when you can double the thrill and risk? Needless to say, my second jump felt exactly like the first… only with a little more smug satisfaction and slightly more panic.

machupichu

So I hiked the Inca Trail once—because obviously, a leisurely stroll through breathtaking Andean landscapes and ancient ruins isn’t enough. Naturally, I thought, ‘Why stop at one day of grueling climbs, questionable altitude sickness, and awe-inspiring views when I can do it all again?’ Spoiler: the second day was just as brutal, just with more blisters and slightly less dignity. Some people take scenic walks; I take scenic masochism.

Iceland

So I went to chase the Northern Lights once, because standing in freezing darkness staring at the sky sounded like a solid plan. But of course, one night wasn’t enough—why not freeze my toes off again, just for a second round of dancing green lights? The second night was basically the same: cold, magical, and me pretending my teeth weren’t chattering. Some people chase sunsets; I chase hypothermia in style.

amazon

So I woke up at an unholy hour to catch the Amazon sunrise—because apparently, watching the sky turn gold while surrounded by mosquitoes and jungle noise sounded like a great idea. One sunrise wasn’t enough, of course—so I did it again the same day. Twice the awe, twice the bug spray, twice the questioning of my life choices. Some people hit snooze; I chase sunrises in the middle of nowhere.

great barier reef

So I went snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef once, because swimming with colorful fish in crystal-clear water seemed like a chill day. But apparently, one round of floating among corals wasn’t enough—so I went back the same day. Twice the awe, twice the sunburn, twice the awkward flailing trying not to touch anything. Some people relax on beaches; I go full marine biologist-slash-acrobat.

shark

So I went diving with sharks once, because apparently, I like making questionable life choices. But one brush with razor-toothed predators wasn’t enough—so I went back the same day. Twice the adrenaline, twice the heart-stopping moments, twice the awkward mental pep talks: ‘Don’t look like lunch.’ Some people do spa days; I play hide-and-seek with apex predators.

USA Roadtrip

I drove coast-to-coast across the USA. From deserts to mountains, diners to motels, every mile was a new adventure. I learned that the best playlist is the one you sing to yourself when the radio signal fades.
